Join us for a July 4th celebration to include a day of food, fun, bands, and fireworks.
Support this event.
Fireworks will be launched at Lake Murray, and can be seen from anywhere you can see the lake. The music fest will be held on the San Carlos side of the lake at the Lake Murray Playground, but the La Mesa side will also be open throughout the day and evening for fireworks viewing.

Republic of Music headlined our 2017 Musicfest, and were so popular that we brought them back for 2019. They boast some of the most talented musicians, vocalists, dancers and entertainers extraordinaire in Southern California! They play everything from Top 40, 80's to Classic Rock and draw a big crowd to the dance floor.
Bam Bam is an 80's tribute band that rocks the stage weekly at venues all around San Diego. They cover songs from favorites like The Clash, Echo and the Bunny Men, The Cure, The Furs,The Ramones, Tom Petty, David Bowie, INXS,Guns And Roses, and Fleetwood Mac just to name a few.
San Diego’s own premier big band led by trombonist Kevin Esposito and featuring vocalists Draeh Jirnae and Warren Lovell. This 16 piece “high altitude swing” band has the cool class and excitement to make events memorable. 5 time winners of the San Diego Music Awards for Best Big Band, BTO covers the great swing classics of the past, updating with their own brand of jump, jive and hepcat swing. True to the past and yet completely contemporary. San Diego’s best - Big Time Operator!
Frankie T. & The Triple B, is a highly talented funk, rock, blues, and fusion ensemble from San Diego. They deliver high-energy performances filled with foot-stomping and hip-shaking grooves. Every show is an experience-driven concert featuring the unique and skillful talent of musicians. Fans describe them as “magnets they cannot take their eyes and ears off.”

EVENT RULES & PARKING /
Please no digging or driving stakes
into the ground for canopies
or tents. Canopies and tents may
only be used within the marked
areas along the edge of the grass.
The center of the park must be
kept clear of obstructions for
personnel in case of an emergency.
No glass bottles or containers of any
kind. Restrooms, hand washing
stations and trash cans will be
provided throughout the venue.
Please keep your area clean and
leave the park looking better than
when you found it.
Parking is a challenge during the event,
especially later in the day past 3pm.
Parking is available near the baseball
fields west of the park venue. ADA
spaces are reserved along the round
driveway at the entrance to the baseball
fields and adjacent to Murray Park Dr.
No parking is allowed on Murray Park Dr.
directly in front of Lake Murray Park.
Only vehicles dropping off or picking up
are allowed along the curb. Following
the fireworks, all cars parks within the
baseball field lots will be directed out
to Park Ridge through the tennis court
Volunteers are needed the morning of
July 5th to help pick up trash and gather
signage from the event. If you can help, please meet around 8a at the park and check in with volunteer coordinators for available duties that need filled.
We're continuing with our organized games for the kids this year and we're adding a day long scavenger hunt to go along with the fun. Games will be played in between music sets throughout the day on the park lawn.
